It’s all about Jesus.

Regardless of what you believe about Jesus you have to admit that there is no other name that stirs up so much controversy as the name of Jesus. What is it about the name of a carpenter’s son from the town of Nazareth 2000 years ago?

Why do we have an entire holiday dedicated to celebrating His birth?

Why is it, You can talk about God all day long but the moment you bring up Jesus things get funny!

JESUS MANAGED TO OFFEND PEOPLE BY BEING TOO INCLUSIVE AND EXCLUSIVE

ALL AT THE SAME TIME!

His life was too Inclusive

The religious were offended that Jesus ate with, and included, the outcasts.

Jesus offered forgiveness to anyone and everyone!

People who were nothing like Jesus, liked Jesus!

His message was too Exclusive

God created the world and everything in it – including you – and

He wants to begin a personal, one-on-one relationship with you today.

God, the Creator of the universe, loves you and has a purpose for your life. And because of that, His plans are better than your plans. None of us can measure up to some impossible religious standard; faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior is the only “step” to salvation.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.

Acts 4:12

NO OTHER NAME HAS THE POWER TO SAVE

1. JESUS SAVES ME FROM MY SIN

In Genesis, sin entered the world through Adam and Eve, and has impacted every person since. Sin has wreaked havoc on our world and our relationship with God. God wants a relationship with you so bad He sent his son

Jesus to die on a cross to fix all of that.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Romans 3:23

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.

1 Timothy 1:15

2. JESUS SAVES ME FOR ETERNITY

The Bible teaches that everyone is going to spend eternity in one of two places:

1. Heaven with God

2. Hell separated from God

People often say that they just don’t believe that a loving God would send anyone to hell. WE AGREE!!

The truth is that God doesn’t send us to hell. We send ourselves there by rejecting Jesus.

“He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

2 Peter 3:9

We started this church because Heaven and Hell are real. We send people on mission trips because Heaven and Hell are real. You don’t have to wonder where you will spend eternity.

God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

1 John 5:11-13

3. JESUS SAVES ME BY HIS GRACE

Salvation is a gift. It cannot be earned. Jesus did for us what we could never do for ourselves.

Like any gift, it must simply be received.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Romans 10:9-10

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

2 Corinthians 5:17
