what is vkidz?

We love children at Vertical Church, so we work hard to create safe and enjoyable environments for children birth through 5th grade each week. We believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud, and our leaders always care. The focus of our kid environments are small groups. We are passionate about wanting to see kids learn how God's Word fits in to their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build life long friendships.

We can't wait to meet you and your family at one of our Vertical vKidz locations this Sunday! Come see what all the noise is about as your child joins the fun and experiences a world where kidz meet Jesus on their level! We are ready for them.

It's our first time! what do we do?

Look for the vKidz check-in signs when you arrive on campus and this will help first-time families arrive at your designated area. A loving vKidz leader will meet your family, help you get checked into our database system. Once your child has been checked in, a leader will help lead them to their age-appropriate vKidz environment.

Our vKidz check-in system allows us to to gather family members' names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child. We value safety and this information will help us provide for your child. Please have this information available upon check-in.

You may also pre-register your children online.

how check-in works

You may check in your child at one of the available stations. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s identification code will appear on the screen in the auditorium. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

the drive home

On your way home, be sure to ask your child questions like, "Did you have fun?" and "What did you learn today?" It's our goal that every child has a positive answer to these two questions, every week!

special environments

We value every one here at Vertical and so we provide ministry to those with Special Needs to ensure that everyone is afforded the opportunity to learn about Jesus on their level. It is recommended, so that we are best equipped to serve your family, that you contact us ahead of time to let us know which service you’ll be attending and what your specific needs are! Our team is gifted in caring for children with special needs and we are very excited to have you.

what we value

Biblical Truth

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children excited about what they’re learning. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

Relationships

We value children’s relationships within the small group setting and strive for consistency in our volunteers so that, week in and week out, children are placed in a group of familiar faces with a leader they can count on and grow a relationship with.

Engaging

Our environments and lesson materials are created in a way your child will understand. Services are designed for each age to engage in the lesson and apply the information learned to their lives.

Safe and Secure

Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent tag that is required to enter the kid’s environment. Our volunteers are background checked and our kid's environments are monitored by security personnel.

Fun!

Who doesn’t love fun? We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, singing, and live acting.
